Ahlam Mahdi

Support Specialist

Ahlam Mahdi has a bachelor’s degree in Arabic that she earned in her home country, Egypt. Ahlam gained 15 years of experience working in an elementary school as well. In 2016, her family (3 children & my husband) immigrated to the U.S. seeking freedom, peace, and better a education. Ahlam is currently a student at NOVA, majoring in Early Childhood Development, and she has a 4.0. She enjoys a direct positive influence on the success of the College Steps students.

Ahlam’s proudest achievement is having raised three amazingly resilient, intellectually curious, and successful children under challenging circumstances.

After graduating from NOVA, she plans to attend George Mason University to complete a Bachelor’s Accelerated Master’s (BAM) in Arabic as a forging language. Her goal is to teach Arabic to students in grades K–12 in the United States.
