November 2020 Peer Mentor of the Month - Madison

Meet Madison our November 2020 “Mentor of the Month.”

Madison joined our team in the middle of the semester in Fall 2019. Madison is a hard-working Honors student at County College of Morris and is also a talented singer. She is very generous with her time and also sets an extraordinary example for students about how to use time management and create a mindful balance in life. Madison shares her love for fitness and meditation as well as brings positive energy to every session she runs. The students know she is there to support them, and the mutual enjoyment and respect between them are clear for all to see.

What stands out this semester is Madison’s dedication to helping the team in a time of need. When we were unsure how sessions could be covered for students on campus in Fall, she committed to being on campus to cover shifts for the entire day, starting right after her own early morning class. To be able to cover more shifts, she stays on campus and does her virtual class in the library so she does not have to leave earlier to drive home to do it. Not only that but if she is available, she is still there to cover for her peers anytime.
